2024-2025 Registration Instructions

Application due dates:
Currently enrolled students (2023-24) and new siblings  Wednesday, January 31, 2024 by 5:30 p.m.
SLUMC Church Members                                                   Tuesday, February 6, 2024 by 5:30 p.m.
Community                                                                                 Friday, February 9, 2024 by 5:30 p.m.

Application Processing:

  • Order of application processing for each group—currently enrolled, church members, and community—is determined by a drawing which will take place right after each due date. (Applications must be uploaded or delivered, not postmarked, by due date.)
  • Applications received after the due date(s) will be processed in order of receipt.
  • Acceptance and Waiting List notifications will be sent by Friday, March 8, 2024.
  • Children who are not accepted will automatically be placed on our waiting list.

Application Instructions:

  • Complete a four-page Application for Enrollment (fillable PDF) for each child applying.
  • Application includes a payment information/authorization form. Payments may be made via ACH (bank draft—includes a 2% discount on tuition), credit card, or check. (If payment method is check, application must be hand-delivered; include a check for the registration fee only.)
  • Once complete and saved (please use child’s name as file name), parents will upload the application. Parents submitting applications for multiple children should upload them separately. Contact the office for troubleshooting assistance. Office hours for delivery of applications are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Call 713-402-5030 for instructions.
  • Returning students are guaranteed a place in the program, provided application due date is met. We cannot guarantee that all new applicants will be accepted into the program.
  • Children must be up to date on required immunizations to attend St. Luke’s Day School. Due to the age of the children we serve, we do not accept exemptions. The Texas DSHS immunization schedule may be found here.

Acceptance Notification and Next Steps:

  • Acceptance notifications will be sent by Friday, March 8, 2024.
  • If your child is accepted, 24-25 Registration Fees will be charged (ACH and credit card) and checks deposited on or about March 13. The Registration Fee is non-refundable.
  • Enrollment must be confirmed or declined no later than Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 5:30pm. If declined, no further charges will occur.
  • To hold your child’s enrollment, the following ACH drafts and credit card charges will automatically occur:
    • April 10, 2024 – September 2024 (first month) tuition deposit; not refundable once paid.
    • August 5, 2024 – August 2025 (last month) tuition deposit; not refundable once paid.
    • September 5, 2024 – 24-25 Activity/Supply Fee; not refundable once paid.
    • If paying by check, please submit by the dates above.
  • Additionally, the following deadline must be met to hold enrollment:
    • July 1, 2024 – 24-25 Child Forms due. Forms will be available on our website in May; a $50 fee will be assessed for forms submitted after July 5. An additional $50 will be assessed for forms submitted after August 1.
  • Luke’s Day School requires written notification to withdraw your child from the school. Email is acceptable; contact Tessa Waltz, Registrar, at twaltz@stlukesmethodist.org. Once receipt of notification is confirmed, no additional charges will occur.

Waiting List Notification and Next Steps:

  • Waiting list notifications will be sent by Friday, March 8, 2024.
  • If your child is placed on the waiting list, no payment is due as there is no cost to be on the waiting list. If a check was submitted with application, it will be returned in your letter.
  • We use the waiting list to fill openings as they occur through January 2025. The Registrar will contact you if a spot becomes available for your child.
  • The waiting list does not carry over to the next school year. Remember to re-apply for the 2025-2026 school year if you have not heard from us by January 2025. Registration will open mid-January 2025.

All applications and placements are subject to the approval of Debbie Weymouth, Director of Day School.

The Luke’s Place Full-day program is intended to be a twelve-month commitment and each tuition payment represents one-twelfth of the school year. Credit is not given for a child’s absence or days the school is not in session.

St. Luke’s Day School is licensed by Texas Health and Human Services and accredited by Cognia. Registration is open to all children regardless of race, ethnicity, or religious preference.
