Our SLDS Book Fair is known far and wide for its history as much more than a simple venue for selling books! Every year for over 30 years, our Book Fair has provided an opportunity to celebrate the joys of early literacy, family fun time, and Christmas spirit!

The SLDS Book Fair is a designated fundraiser for some important initiatives at our school. First, we know that not every family can afford to attend our school without financial assistance. Our successful Book Fairs support our healthy tuition scholarship program! Additionally, we value continuing education and professional development for our SLDS staff. As our teachers and administrators grow in knowledge and experience, we know that the outcome is daily intentional, research-based classroom practices. From our Teacher’s Professional Book Club, to local and national conferences, to bringing presenters here for our staff meetings, the Book Fair provides amazing opportunities for us to be the best early childhood educators we can be! And, let’s not forget the tremendous selection of books in our SL Children’s Library! Every selection in our collection is hand-picked to provide excellent reading experiences for the children in our classrooms and our greater community!
