New for the 2023-24 school year, REMIND will be the primary vehicle of communication with the classroom. You will receive class announcements, reminders, and photos directly from the teachers. School-wide emergency notifications will also come through REMIND.

We will upload parent emails and phone numbers into the system September 8th, and you will receive a notification to create an account. (If you already use REMIND for another school you will see St. Luke’s Day School as a choice. You do not need to create a new account). You may choose to receive messages via text, email, or the REMIND app. Please note that you cannot opt out of urgent emergency notifications.

If you have an urgent message for your child’s teachers during the school day, please contact the office and we will relay the message. The children are the teachers’ primary responsibility during the day, so they will not respond immediately to emails or texts.

Please visit our ONLINE STORE to:

-Purchase a rest mat for children in twos and up classrooms.

-Make a donation to our teacher appreciation.

-Order your child’s “Birthday Book Club” book.

Special Friends and Family 2023 to 2024

Children love sharing their school with grandparents and special friends! Please complete and submit the form below if you would like grandparents or other special friends/family to receive invitations and underwriting information for the Book Fair, which includes Grandparents Night & Open House, in December and the Spring Picnic in April. Please note this list is recreated each school year, so if you submitted names of loved ones previously, you will need to do so again. If a couple uses one address, please use friend or family #1 and #2 to give us both names.

  • You only have to enter this for one child.

What should I do if I can’t attend the Meet the Teacher class visit with my child?

You are not alone! We recommend that you watch the class welcome video with your child. Teachers will record this short video in the classroom. You may ask questions using the classroom email, and teachers will be making welcoming phone calls, as well.

What if we are new to the school and can’t attend New Parent Orientation?

At the New Parent Orientation, we will be highlighting policies and procedures that are in the Family Handbook. Please read the handbook and your age-level general information thoroughly and call the office if you have any questions.

Do I need to purchase a rest mat?

Children in Twos, Threes, PreK, and Kaleidoscope TK classes must have an approved plastic fire-retardant rest mat. Due to Licensing regulations and storage limitations, cloth mats and sleeping bags are not allowed.

Mats are provided for children in Bears, Ponies, Bunnies, and Honeybees classes (children in Kangaroos, Little Lambs, and Big Lambs nap in cribs.)

My child is in a Twos, Threes, or PreK class. When will they receive their St. Lukes’s School Bag?

SLDS School Bags will be distributed at the Meet the Teacher class visit or on the child’s first day of school. Remember that backpacks, totes, and rolling luggage bags are not allowed due to space limitations.
