Teacher Recommendation Requests
If you are applying to a school that requires a Teacher Recommendation, please follow the steps below.
- Complete the SLDS request form
- Use the following email: dayschool@stlukesmethodist.org for all online requests with schools. Do not use your classroom teachers’ emails.
- You will be contacted when the process is complete.
Please note the following:
- The classroom teachers work together to complete the recommendation for your child. Only one recommendation is submitted to each school.
- Most schools require the current year teacher to complete the form. It is our policy that only the teachers for your child’s current school year complete recommendations.
- SLDS does not use a grading system. We are not able to submit transcripts or report cards. If your school requires documentation, you can submit your child’s most recent Parent Conference report.
- Teacher Recommendations are confidential and submitted to the requesting school only.
- We complete recommendations based on each school’s deadline and not by date of request. Our goal is to allow teachers adequate time to get to know your child, so the recommendation is authentic.
