Qualifications and Training for our Teachers

Quality and continuity of staff are important parts of the St. Luke’s Day School early childhood program. Lead and support teachers receive ongoing continuing education in the form of training seminars, staff development meetings, and memberships in early childhood professional associations.  Additionally, all are certified in Infant/Child First Aid and CPR and receive at least 24 hours of professional development and training each year.

Lead teachers meet the following qualifications:

  • Experience in early childhood education
  • Hold, or be currently pursuing, a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education or a related field and/or Child Development Associate Certification
