Please join us for breakfast and parenting classes for adults this school year.  Each event costs just $5 per person; you may pay at the door. Reservations are requested but not required. An excellent opportunity for parents of young children!

Raising Philanthropic Children

Cultivating compassion and generosity starts at a very young age. Common marketing efforts target our children and contribute to creating self-centered consumers. Learn ways to balance out society’s materialism and help your child develop a generous spirit.

Michelle Shonbeck, is a former SLDS parent and the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization, Christian Community Service Center (CCSC). At CCSC, she has seen many families volunteer and do small things to grow their children’s giving hearts.

Child-Proofing Your Marriage

February is the month of love!  Keeping a loving relationship strong requires time and energy.  Raising a young family requires time and energy.  Dr. Fowler will remind us of the importance of a strong marriage and give parents tips for focusing on each other while successfully managing life with young children.

Presented by Beth Fowler, ED.D., LFMT Dr. Fowler has 20 + years of  experience as a psychologist and family therapist practicing in Houston, Texas.
